Yup... 5-stars! This is a/the quintessential "diner"... Danielle and Rosie are fabulously nice people and (if you go there) they will begin your experience... wonderful! Traditional diner food (note that I didn't say normal... their food isn't normal)... their food is great... ! ... no flashy decor, no overworked stressed out wait staff and no pretense... just honest Diner Ambiance! if you are looking for a choice of 17 different juices, 23 choices of ooo-long tea or non-dairy cappachino this ain't your place! If you want hot sauce your choice is "Frank's Hot Sauce" otherwise bring your own... the superb team of Rosie/Danielle will be happy to keep your bottle in their cooler for you... Value... everything on Long Island is expensive, this isn't Jimmy's Diner's fault... BUT... if you are looking for value this place delivers... this is my new "goto" diner... it should be your's as well... oh, another thing... it's small (say cozy) so get there early or try to beat the rush... The food here is absolutely delicious!! I had corn beef hash and eggs and it was perfect!! Staff is super friendly! Such a great old school diner feel with yummy food! We will definitely be back!
This is one of the best small local restaurants to have breakfast, homemade style , great portions and good price. I wish they had more natural juices options instead of can juice or soda .
A great hidden gem. Reasonable prices and home cooked meals make you feel like you're at your grandmas or something. Overall it's solid diner food. I cant believe I waited so long to go.
Service is very nice. I have the hungry man breakfast that is tasty. Haven't tried anything else. Small place and bathroom is in the back next to the kitchen. Would go back for breakfast for sure.
